as crazy as the solemn street in old sacramento,
we were afraid to breathe.
we took a step back and had the last view
before the lights were shut and doors-
open.
a can of soda was traded with loose change,
hands in the pocket and hearts skidding
like a loose train.
we loose the anxiety to
rock it steady.
today,
the exhibit opens.
